At the heart of the Institute of Making is the Materials Library – a growing database that can be browsed for some of the most extraordinary materials.

Developed by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, it has expanded with the cooperation of multiple institutions to include a MATERIALS Database and several reference collections.
