Graduating Seniors: Access to Library Resources

Public Library Resource Access

Wherever you go after your time here at Columbia, check out what is offered by your local public library system. Typical resources include:

  • An Interlibrary Loan service (sometimes this is free, sometimes you have to a pay a fee)
  • Databases
  • Print books, magazines, and newspapers
  • Videos, music and audiobooks
  • eBooks and eMagazines (and sometimes eReaders and/or tablets)

For a good sense of what type of resources your public library can offer, we encourage you to browse the Chicago Public Library's website, particularly their FAQs section, which goes into detail on the types of services offered and how to access them.
