Organizational and agency websites
Organizations and agencies often provide statistics about their areas of focus. It is important to evaluate the mission and credibility of any particular organization you get stats from and to be aware of the original sources of those stats.
To discover such organizations, try keyword searches for your issue adding ".org" as a keyword. Example: gun violence disability .org as a Google search discovers a survey entitled, "Disabled Gun Violence Survivors in Chicago: An Initial Needs Survey" from Access Chicago, an organization that advocates for the rights of people with disabilities.
The U.S. federal government is the largest provider of data anywhere. See the Statistics & Data Guide for several ways to enter into those statistical resources.
