Introduction to 3D Modeling/Design

Before you can print an object, you need to have a .stl or .obj file of a 3D model. There are a number of CAD software programs that you can use for free and that are especially good for beginners. Before you begin designing, we recommend you read this short tutorial about some of the design concerns you need to keep in mind when designing for 3D printing.
