Welcome to Columbia College Chicago and the M.A. in Civic Media program.

I've enjoyed years of teamwork with the amazing faculty and students in Communication Department degree programs including Civic Media. I received an M.S. in Library and Information Studies from the University of Illinois and have worked for over thirty years at Chicago academic libraries including DePaul University and Columbia College Chicago.  One of my favorite things is providing a connection between students and the information resources that can help them accomplish their goal, whether it be success in a class team project or finding the perfect tool to make their service or research richer and more impactful. I look forward to working with you.

Make a Research Consultation Request

Need in-depth assistance or help just getting started on research? Make an appointment to meet with a librarian who will prepare in advance for your conversation.  You'll provide some details and offer some times to meet; a librarian will get back to you and prepare suggested resources and strategies to share in the meeting.  Meetings can be via Zoom, by phone, or in person and will probably also involve email. If meeting synchronously is not an option, the librarian can interact by email and provide brief video content.
